bismillah

وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَإِذَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا الْقِتَالُ رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ الْمَغْشِيِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَأَوْلَى لَهُمْ

Wayaqoolu allatheena amanoo lawla nuzzilat sooratun faitha onzilat sooratun muhkamatun wathukira feeha alqitalu raayta allatheena fee quloobihim maradun yanthuroona ilayka nathara almaghshiyyi AAalayhi mina almawti faawla lahum

And those who believe say: Why has a Surah not been revealed? Then when there is revealed a Surah firmly-constructed and fighting is prescribed therein, you see those in whose heart is a disease looking at you with a look of one who is fainting unto death: So woe unto them!

(47:20)

طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوفٌ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ الْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا اللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ

TaAAatun waqawlun maAAroofun faitha AAazama alamru falaw sadaqoo Allaha lakana khayran lahum

Obedience and a civil word. Then, when the affair is resolved, if even then they gave credence to Allah-SWT, it would have been better for them.

(47:21)

فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ

Fahal AAasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidoo fee alardi watuqattiAAoo arhamakum

Then if you turn away, you are likely to cause corruption on the earth and to sever your kinship.

(47:22)

أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَى أَبْصَارَهُمْ

Olaika allatheena laAAanahumu Allahu faasammahum waaAAma absarahum

Those are they whom Allaah-SWT has cursed and then had deafened them and blinded their sights.

(47:23)

أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَى قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا

Afala yatadabbaroona alqurana am AAala quloobin aqfaluha

Do they not ponder the Quran, or are there locks upon their hearts?

(47:24)

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَى الشَّيْطَانُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَى لَهُمْ

Inna allatheena irtaddoo AAala adbarihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda a(l)shshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum

Verily those who have apostated on their backs after the guidance had become manifest to them, Satan has embellished this apostasy to them, and has given them false hopes

(47:25)

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ

Thalika biannahum qaloo lillatheena karihoo ma nazzala Allahu sanuteeAAukum fee baAAdi alamri wa(A)llahu yaAAlamu israrahum

That is because they say to those who abhor what Allaah-SWT has revealed; we shall obey you in part of the affair; and Allaah-SWT knows their talking in secret.

(47:26)

فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ

Fakayfa itha tawaffathumu almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum

How then shall it be, when the angels shall take them away at death, smiting their faces and their backs!

(47:27)

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَسْخَطَ اللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا رِضْوَانَهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

Thalika biannahumu ittabaAAoo ma askhata Allaha wakarihoo ridwanahu faahbata aAAmalahum

That is because they followed what incensed Allaah-SWT and abhorred His-SWT good-will. So He-SWT made their works of no-effect.

(47:28)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

The believers look forward to fresh revelations to strengthen their faith further and are always in pursuit of additional knowledge and guidelines for practice. And when Allaah-SWT reveals decisive Ayat enjoining Jihad, the Holy Prophet-SW will find the hypocrites staring at him like they were at the throes of death. This is because of cowardice and hypocrisy.

 

Decisive Ayat

All Ayat of the Quran are decisive. However, those which are never to be abrogated are termed as such. Some Injunctions of the Quran replaced by other Injunctions were termed as abrogated. The Injunction on Jihad is decisive from the very beginning without any amendment whatsoever. That is why the word decisive is added to the Ayah. This put the hypocrites to shame, whereby all their tall claims of obedience and bravado were exposed. When it was time to act, they looked puzzled. Now that all was set out for Jihad and the means were available, they should have at least repented which was certainly a better course of action.

 

The Outcome of Evading Jihad

If Jihad is evaded by lame excuses, the whole world will fall victim to mischief. The evil-doers and the ungodly will gain power and violate relationships and usurp the rights of even their own relatives, let alone others’. The sole responsibility of this Sony state will be on those who evade Jihad.

 

Remember that the Quranic Injunction for practical Jihad' against infidelity, polytheism and evil is for all times to come. And if it is abandoned on flimsy grounds and the Muslims start depending only on prayers the consequences foretold by Quran may well be witnessed today. While the evil doers are fully supporting their abetters, the so called pious are content with supplications. May Allaah-SWT bless us with a thorough understanding and the capacity to act!

 

Cursing a Particular Person

Those who evade Jihad and are a source of mischief on earth are indeed accursed by Allaah-SWT and are deprived of His-SWT Mercy. The scholars forbid accursing a particular person and only permit a general statement like "the oppressors or the liars be accursed". This Divine curse deprived them of hearing and eyesight, to hear and see the Truth. Don't they ponder over the Divine Word or is it that their hearts are sealed? In fact, they are suffering both in sequel to evading Jihad on frail grounds. Of course, those still alien to Islam and inclined towards infidelity despite manifest guidance like the raising of the Holy Prophet-SW and the revelation, are ensnared by the Satan into impossible desires and far-fetched hopes. That is why they agree with the enemies of Islam, Jewish scholars being the foremost, to follow their instructions partly. For instance, when the Jewish scholars advise them not to obey the Holy Prophet-SW,  the hypocrite assert that they do it only to avoid temporal losses but would always remain inwardly hostile. Allaah-SWT is well Aware of their secrets. And reflect the scene when the angels seize their spirits; smiting their faces and backs, that is, commencing the thrashing while on the verge of death, for they had opted for a path disapproved by  Allah-SWT . They had evaded Jihad and disparaged martyrdom. So any good deed ever done went with the wind.
